That is current. Even if it weren't, and you tried to restore to it, it would just fail and leave you where you currently are, iOS-wise.
Also, if you weren't aware of it, the original iPad will not be getting iOS 6, so 5.1.1 is probably the end of the road for us (I have one too). :(
