The PM, who led the Flex Night AIDS Walk last Sunday, will be rounding off the week with this assignment at the Health and Fitness Expo. The Health and Fitness Expo is an activity of Flex Night Incorporated that brings together 24 exhibitors who will be showcasing a wide range of products and services, all aimed at promoting health and fitness.
The products will include fitness and exercise equipment, both imported and locally manufactured,? sports and fitness attire, bodybuilding and nutrition supplements, fitness and exercise classes, massages and food therapies and outdoor recreation pursuits.
The Health and Fitness Expo has attracted the participation of several of the main distributors of fitness and exercise equipment and apparel in Guyana, as well as some of the principal fitness instructors and exercise gurus.
The event targets persons of all ages and fitness levels and there will be special exercise sessions organised by Annabelle Vieira of Fusion Fitness, Curtis McKenzie of Curtis Workout and Noshavyah King of Genesis Fitness Express. The Expo will be opened at 13:00 hours on the upper patio of the National Cultural Centre.
Apart from athletes from Guyana, Suriname and Brazil displaying their chiseled and toned bodies for the various titles; Gisa ter Haar of Holland will be the guest poser at the event.
Meanwhile, the Flex Night International and Health and Fitness Expo enjoyed special promotion at the Mr. Suriname Bodybuilding event recently.
A desk was set up in the rear of the auditorium that displayed Flex Night information and souvenirs. Many patrons took the opportunity to visit the desk to request information about the Flex Night International, about visiting Guyana and about life in Guyana generally.
A large number of bodybuilding fans and supporters from neighbouring Suriname are expected to arrive in Guyana tomorrow afternoon to support the delegation from the Suriname Weightlifting and Bodybuilding Federation participating in the Flex Night International and Health and Fitness Expo.
The Suriname team was selected after the Mr. Suriname Championships which took place last Saturday at the Congress Hall in Paramaribo.
Twenty-three Guyanese, mainly from Fitness Paradise Gym, attended the Mr. Suriname event to give support to the Suriname bodybuilding authorities.
