Nearly everyone I spoke with doesn't remember Alex Morgan's playing days at Diamond Bar High School, which is kind of shocking considering she's become the face (and body) of women's soccer. She graduated in 2007 with a Brahmas girls soccer team that was very average, which is shocking watching her play today.
We have a reporter in our office that played at Diamond Bar and graduated a few years before Morgan's playing days and when I asked about Morgan, she said, "She was not a star at all," at Diamond Bar.
Even Diamond Bar AD Kurt Davies had a difficult time explaining her soccer contributions with the Brahmas, so anyone that remembers her high school playing days, please feel free to share your comments.
But hey, look at her now, she's one of the rising stars on the U.S. National team and in today's Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue.
Don't get righteous with me for showing it, it's on virtually every sports website imaginable. Now, will someone get me a one-on-one, someone needs to do a Q&A on our local star. C'mon Davies, get to work on this ....
